The consequences of sin!

WORDS OF WISDOM:

THE CONSEQUENCE OF SIN

Scripture:

Psalm 51:10, 12

He will create in you a clean heart and a steadfast spirit; He will restore to you

the joy of your salvation

MORNING PRAYER:

LORD, Thank you for waking us up this Friday Morning! What a blessing it is to see another day. Thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. I'm thankful I have a father that has me covered. No matter what, we win with you. Thank you for bringing hope and peace into our lives even through the toughest of times, strengthening us for your purpose. Thank you for Your mercy and grace. Thank you that You are always with us and will never leave us. Forgive us for when we don't thank you enough, trust you for who you are, and what you can do. Fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day. We give you praise and thanks. For You alone are worthy. Father, thank you for your Almighty Power. Thank you that you go before us today. God, thank you for being a restorer. Thank you GOD for being a healer, our provider, our protector and our way maker. Remind us of your strength today. May we see glimpses of your glory and blessings along the way as we seek after You. Father, I ask that you bless those that are less fortunate than us. Heavenly Father, meet the needs of those that don’t have a place to lay their heads and for the homeless to obtain shelter. Father, I’m praying for those dealing with mental health and PTSD. Open doors LORD of deliverance and help. I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. I pray for those that are dealing with domestic violence, for them to get help to get out of toxic and dangerous situations. I pray for those with any addiction to be set free from a codependency or seeking for a temporary solution to self medicate. I pray for those fighting the war, our soldiers and for the Ukraine. I pray for those that are incarcerated and for peace in this nation and peace in the middle east. I pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. It's in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections:

Father, I'm so grateful that I can learn from David and the consequences of sin. Knowing that you will still love me and help me out of a path of darkness and a life of bad choices. I'm so grateful for your amazing grace.  When I read about David, he acknowledges his sin . We can also read his confessions in Psalms 51. His sins had been forgiven. But the result of his sin, however, would be far reached and have great consequences. David would experience a horrible experience and consequences to the wages of his sin, Just as Romans 6: 23 says, "The wages of sin is death." James reiterates that message full, "that when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death." So this tells me that sin may seem or feel pleasurable, but the end result is heavy. Only God can know when sin and its consequences are finished. David's sin included lust, lies, and adultery but sin was not finished. David had Uriah murdered to get his wife and sin was not finished. He kept playing with sin. One door opened up another door and then another door. His child died, which was a child birthed in sin as a result of getting another man’s wife pregnant. And sin was not finished. Civil war broke out, and sin was not finished. David's enemies blasphemed GOD, and still sin was not finished. If David could have seen the result of his sin when he looked upon Bathsheba, he would have fallen on his knees at that very moment and prayed or ran far away from that. However, David didn't consider the consequences. It took the confrontation of a friend for David to acknowledge his sin. See, the Devil doesn't show us the whole picture, only the good part, until we bite. Then he opens up the full screen and shows us the full picture. GOD promises that he would put away the sins and removed them as far as the east is from the west, but the wages of that sin would have a lifelong impact. Maybe you struggle with the results of sin. GOD is not punishing you for your sins. God punished JESUS in our place at the Cross; He paid it all. We have been made right with Him and the blood has set us free. But we still need GOD'S grace and mercy to handle the ongoing results of our sin. After you confess your sins, you can ask Him for His help. Father I ask that you help me, by Your grace, to deal with the consequences of my past sins and know that I am truly forgiven. Allow me to know the joy of Your salvation with a clean heart. Give me strength to withstand the temptations of Satan and give me Your eyes to see the traps Satan has tried to set for me. When I am tempted, help me understand that the wages of sin are always death, to count the costs and know the consequences sin carries. Please help me turn from sin and run to You. Knowing I win in the end if I stay focus. It's all about you JESUS!

Scripture:

2 Samuel 12:13, 14

David said to Nathan, You sinned against the Lord And Nathen said to David, the Lord you have to answer to.

Closing prayer:

Have a blessed Friday family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and He loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. He got your back, your side and front, if you stay connected. Remember today to stay connected to the Power source. Whatever you do, surrender it to the Lord and let Him work it out. Let it be what it is because we are covered in the blood. If you don’t know GOD, get to know Him. Try Him. He is the truth. Whatever the Lord tells you to do, just do it. All we have belongs to GOD.  Keep trusting GOD. Just know this, GOD remains the same. Know that we can count on Him no matter what! It’s in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections:

Father, there is no such thing as a coincidence. I know you have planned everything before it happens. It's always YOU. You have things all worked out. You know what I'm thinking, feeling and needing at all times. We just need to follow your plan and stay in your will. You are the perfect Father that knows all and does all according to Your will! I pray that You give me wisdom, knowledge and understanding . Thank you for an ever present, grateful heart and mindset that takes intentional time to acknowledge the works You do, the moments You catch me by surprise and show up just when I need you. I don't want to overlook the subtle signs You repeatedly send me to set me on the right path. When I get distracted by people or things going on around me, I can still feel your presence there leading and guiding me back on the right path. I want to live for You on purpose and exercise the freedom You give me for Your glory. I want to be obedient to You because You give me a choice to choose what I will do. Today, I choose to live for You, I love You  Lord and there is no other like you. You are the truth and why I’m winning.

Scripture:

2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.

Choose You This Day Who Will You Serve

Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.

Reflection:

Father, I'm so grateful that you are always there. Even when I can't see your hand in my situation or feel you, I know without question you are there. Father, I know you are with me . I prayed for better days where I would walk in total faith, with no fear. Those days are showing up now! JESUS, I just want to thank you for opening new doors and making clear paths.  As You guide me and lead me, I want Your protection, mercy and grace. Help me understand and recognize the changes that must take place. I now realize that I can't expect to be the same or have the same perspective and go to the next level in my walk with you Father, when You are clearly preparing me for the requests I've laid at Your throne. The prayers I've asked for, I'm grateful beyond measure to know that you are rearranging and changing things to work out for my good. Help me complete my assignments and fulfill  my destiny and plans you have for me. I want my heartfelt desires to align with Your will. I will rise to the occasion and make any necessary changes to ensure I'm being a good and faithful steward with my vision, gifts, talents, finances and my relationships. I'm staying humble and grateful for the blessings in my life. I put all my trust in You to cover me through every situation and I know I have the victory You've promised me. I know you GOT me.

Follow Him!

WORDS OF WISDOM:

FOLLOW HIM

Scripture:

Matthew 13:44-46

The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, that a person found and hid. Then because of joy he went and sold all that he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls.

When he found a pearl of great value, he went out and sold everything he had and bought it.

MORNING PRAYER:

Reflection:

Father, thank you for reminding us that you are the truth and that the only way to make it and stay ahead of the game is to stay connected to you. As I read the parable, it reminds me of the good news JESUS gives to the rich young ruler. The person in this parable in the bible asks a question. The rich young ruler was being asked to give up everything and follow Christ.  We all are ask at some point in life to give up something and surrender all for Christ. There is nothing of a greater value than JESUS and walking with Him. As the truth of the Word of God collides with our hearts, we recognize Christ as our LORD and Savior. We soon come up against the truth that Jesus is our one and only hope and peace in this world.  This is putting all of our  eggs in one basket and that basket is Christ. Taking up our cross is denying ourselves and following Him, no matter what. It is abandoning all our backup plans, all the systems we rely on and desperate, ruthless trust to depend on Him and Him alone. JESUS is the answer for everything. JESUS gave it all and we are asked likewise to lay it all down for the sake of JESUS. We come to Christ to die to ourselves and surrender all. Walk in the power of giving up all and receive all. It's a win/win in Him that we may gain the true life and power found in JESUS Christ.

Scripture:

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Luke 14:33

So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

Matthew 16:24

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me".

Closing prayer:

Have a blessed Tuesday family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and He loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. Reflection:

Father, I'm so thankful and grateful that you have showed me that I need to stay connected. I am willing to acknowledge I am powerful as long as I stay connected. I am brilliant, I am powerful, I am loved and I’m grateful that You are the lover of my soul.  I understand that of course, I have to make a decision to love myself and to show love to others. It is an internal force contained within and moving throughout my entire being. I may not be able to see it, but it is there. Just like a toaster, iron, or the television, the only thing you need is to get plugged into Your Source. There is a light within me that the world is waiting to see. This light is in us all. This light shines so brightly, if you allow it, that it could blind you! Your vision has probably been blurred because of your own disbelief that someone like you could give so much to so many by simply being turned on to the power of love, understanding who you are, about who you are and what you could do. The light within you, which is powered by an invisible Source, will guide, protect and supply you with everything you need, at all times, under all circumstances and situations. One of the most self-loving things you can do is to let your power be seen. If you are not sure of what to do and how to do it, love the process of learning how to love and accept yourself more fully, more completely. Love the process of living. Love the ups and downs, The ins and outs. No one is expecting you to get it right the first time around, but if you set the intention to love yourself while you are learning to love, then you can master the love walk. Father, I know that the Source of the light of love within me comes from you. Today I will give you all. So I can receive all the power I need until I  master the art of loving. The shift that you must make in order to use your power of Love is to see your light and to secure the key that will open all the doors of life. Move your attention from the outside world to the inside of you, the spirit World. Father, teach us how to plug into power source. Lord, help us to learn what it is, how to keep it flowing and, most importantly, how to use it. Accept and acknowledge your own brilliance. Father, I will stop waiting for others to tell me how great you are. I Believe it for myself.  Father, I admit there’s been times I have experienced darkness caused by a power outage. But as of  today, I turn on the light of your inner power of love!  I am devoted to allowing the power of the love that I am to shine brilliantly and to love with an Agape love. A love that is unconditional. I only can do it with staying connected to you!

Scripture:

Corinthians 13:13:

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Closing prayer:

Have a blessed Monday family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and He loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. I pray for those that are dealing with domestic violence, for them to get help to get out of toxic and dangerous situations. I pray for those with any addiction to be set free from a codependency or seeking for a temporary solution to self medicate. I pray for those fighting the war, our soldiers, and I pray for the Ukraine. I pray for those that are incarcerated. I pray for Peace in this nation and peace in the middle east. I pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. It’s in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections:

Father, I thank you for wisdom and maturity. I am at a place in this season of my life that I am willing to acknowledge a mistake as a lesson in humility, a powerful healing-opportunity and a life lesson. In which I can grow from and use as stepping stone. Very often we waste time, energy and readily available peace and over look the blessing in the situation because of our failure to acknowledge an error. We know that pencils have erasers. So does things and situations too that can be erased out of our lives. We know that computers allow us to cut and paste. We know that tests can be taken again, and that wrong sizes can be exchanged. Yet for some strange reason, one of our greatest challenges is admitting to ourselves and others that we have made a mistake and admit it to learn from it. But Perhaps, as children, we were spanked for breaking things, or criticized for our mistakes and shortcomings. Maybe those who raised us wanted so badly for us to be good that they left us little margin for error. Perhaps we believe that it is not safe to acknowledge or admit an error. Maybe we haven’t heard so much about human errors that we have allowed it to cause us great tragedy, hardship, heartache and heartbreaking experience that it has caused us to be afraid to say, "I made a mistake.” This simple statement is a powerful acknowledgment that there is spiritual power in human weakness. But with JESUS we have power to do all things. A mistake is a great opportunity for learning, for healing and to watch the Lord work it out for you  A mistake reminds us that no matter how old we are, how smart we believe in ourselves to be, regardless of how much we have accomplished, we are still human and imperfect. So A mistake is a lesson in humility. A mistake is the way we learn our limitations. It is a reminder that there is always more for us to learn about ourselves and our capabilities. When we grow in humility to a place where we can acknowledge, accept and admit our mistakes, we give GOD space and room to work it out and lead us back on the right path and help us complete our assignment. We must learn to grow in compassion for ourselves and others as we learn to surrender and heal from our self judgments and being hard on ourselves and others for mistakes. A Mistake is just that, A Mistake. Lets us all acknowledge that a mistake may have caused you fear, anguish, anxiety, hurt or shame. Let’s embrace your humanness. If you have made a mistake today, acknowledge it. If you have made one in the past that has had lingering effects, admit it. Be willing to acknowledge and admit that I am human enough to make mistakes but mature enough to learn from it, grow and gain Spiritual strength. With you JESUS, we overcome!

Scripture:

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Psalm 37:24

Though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

Closing prayer:

Have a blessed Saturday Morning family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and he loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. He got your back, your side and front if you stay connected. Remember today that we are human and we will make Mistakes. Whatever you do, surrender it to the Lord and let him work it out. Let it be what it is because we are covered in the blood. If you don’t know GOD, get to know Him. Try Him. He is the truth. Whatever the Lord tells you  to do, just do it All we have belongs to GOD. Keep trusting GOD. Just know this,  GOD remains the same. Know that we can count on Him no matter what! It’s in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections:

Father,I thank you for a renewed mind. Lord, as much as my flesh wants and tries to bring me down through these times with situations or using people to get under my skin, I'm not moved by what I see or hear any more because You've promised me greater things that are only possible through Your power, my faith, and my trust in the assignment. Everything I'm witnessing is worth every bit of the victory attached to it so, I have decided to keep my mind set on the unseen. To trust you no matter or who comes in my life to distract me. I pray You control my emotions when I let temporary situations shake my spirit. Instead of stopping my progression, I want to be reminded of the glory that is ahead when I stay aligned with You! You never said my journey would be easy but You did promise me it will be worth it and  that I get the Victory in the end. Everyday I'm seeking You to renew my mind and to give me unspeakable appreciation for the present day. I’m grateful for all you have done in my life and walking with me in my season of uncertainty. But my mind is made up. I will keep my mind in the positive. I have faith in every part of Your plan for me. Victory is mine!  I Thank you for the breakthrough and the Victory.

Scripture:

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-17

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.

What life serves…

WORDS OF WISDOM:

WHAT LIFE SERVES

Scripture:

Psalm 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

MORNING PRAYER:

LORD, Thank you for waking us up this Wednesday morning. What a blessing it is to see another day! Thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. I'm thankful I that I have a Father that has me covered. No matter what, we win with you. Open doors, LORD, of deliverance and help. I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. I pray for those that are dealing with domestic violence, for them to get help to get out of a toxic and dangerous situations. I pray for those with any addictions to be set free from codependency or seeking for a temporary solution to self medicate. I pray for those fighting the war. For our soldiers and I pray for the Ukraine. I pray for those that are incarcerated and for peace in this nation and peace in the middle east. I pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. It's in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections:

Father, I thank you for serving me what I need for my soul and spirit. I am finally willing to acknowledge that it may be difficult to pick through my experiences to find the things that will nourish me. I realize that when you sit down at life's table, you don't know what the chef will serve you. Lord, It is quite possible that life will serve you filet mignon on a silver platter with all of the trimmings, or life may serve you a hearty chicken soup, with lots of veggies, in a china bowl. The china bowl might be chipped, and it could be sitting on a plate that does not match. Life could serve you burned roast chicken with half-raw potatoes on fine china that sits on an exquisite linen tablecloth. You might be served all fattening foods or low-fat treats. The point is, no matter what you are served in life, or how it is served to you, it is up to you to find the nourishment that you need. Your experiences in life are food for your soul that will strengthen you or make you malnutrition. The choices you have  make up the meat and potatoes of your character. Some experiences are quite tasty and good. Others could lead you to believe you are starving! If you insist you should have been served steak when you've been served chicken, you could miss the fact that it was served on fine china. Don't get caught up in what life has served you. There is a chef in the kitchen of your heart who knows exactly the kind of diet you need to grow strong and remain healthy. Make the right choices on your menu. Don't get stuck on how you were served. Ask the chef how to eat it, how to digest it, and how best to make use of what you were served. Don't try to figure out why you got what you got. The chef is GOD and what He serves us or allows to be served to us is for our spiritual growth. Be grateful that you got something. If you got it, you can use it, just ask the chef how. Until today, you may have been more concerned with why you have had certain experiences than you were with how they have nurtured and nourished you. Just know that it’s all for your growth. Just for today, remind yourself, "He has prepared the table before me. He must know what I need."

Today I am devoted to discovering the nourishment in all of my life's experiences!

Scripture:

Psalm 107:9

For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

Closing Prayer:

Have a blessed WEDNESDAY family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and He loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. He got your back, your side and front, if you stay connected. Remember today that it’s up to you to know how to digest your food for your nourishment.  Whatever you do, surrender it to the Lord and let Him work it out. Let it be what it is because we are covered in the blood. If you don’t know GOD, get to know Him. Try Him. He is the truth. Whatever the Lord tells you to do. just do it. All we have belong to GOD. Reflections:

Father I thank you that you have already planned my destiny. I just have to stay on the path that you have chosen for me and not let anything or anyone distract me off of that. The word speaks of the fact that God has a plan for each of our lives. Yesterday's devotion makes it plain. His plan for us includes conforming us to the image of Christ. But the fact of the matter is we often think we know what is best for our lives and have a plan that contradicts His plan. We get off the path that He has for us. Like we know what's best.  For some reason, we have the notion that if we search Scripture and discover His plan for us, it will not be a plan that is beneficial for us and we will miss out on a "fun" life. But really it is a trick of the enemy. So we set out to do it our way and eventually find ourselves disheartened, disillusioned, discouraged, broken and frustrated with life. But GOD says that if we dig into the Word and discover His ways, it will be profitable for us. Then we will know the truth, and that truth will set us free. Then we will see where we need correction in our wrongs, and discover the right way to live. Only then can we become mature believers, equipped to live a life that is pleasing to GOD and get the victory out of every situation we face. It is true that on His path you will miss out on some things. Things like fear of the future, because GOD'S Word says that you will spend eternity with Him. Things like depression and anxiousness, because God says that He gives a peace that is different from what the world can give. Things like loneliness, for He says He will never leave you. Things like purposelessness, for His plans are to give us a future and a hope and a purpose. Yes we will miss out on the guilt of sin, for He says He will always be faithful to forgive if we repent.

We really need to make it a priority to make Bible study a part of your daily lifestyle. The benefits are out of this world! Father, Your ways are not my ways and Your thoughts are not my thoughts. Help me to discover more of You through the Bible. My desire is to live a life that is pleasing to You. Father, please correct me and guide me through Your Word. When You come back to earth or when I go to be with You, may You find me complete and mature as a result of Your Holy Spirit teaching me through Your Word. Help me hide Your Word in my heart so that I won't sin against You and walk in the path you have already laid out for me. I love you JESUS!

Scripture:

2 Timothy 3:16, 17

The Importance of Scripture

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Closing prayer:

I’m Forgiven!

WORDS OF WISDOM:

IM FORGIVEN

Scripture:

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

1 John 1:9-10 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

LORD, thank you for waking us up this MONDAY morning. If the tomb is empty, anything is possible. What a blessing it is to see another day. Thank you for Your goodness and for Your blessings over us. I'm thankful I have a Father that has me covered. I pray for those that are dealing with domestic violence. For them to get help to get out of a toxic and dangerous situation. I pray for those with any addiction to be set free from a codependency or seeking for a temporary solution to self-medicate. I pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. It's in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections

Father, I thank you for your gift of forgiveness. I am forgiven of all my sins. Lord, whenever I feel abandoned or that I have really messed up or fallen, I thank you for reminding me of the price you paid for me. Your word tells me that a righteous man falls seven times and get back up again.  I’m so blessed that I have you as my LORD. I know that you endured pain and experience death all for my life so I can have salvation and grace. No love will ever compare to the love You have for me! No matter what trials or situations I face, I will never question you and what I can overcome. I will praise you and worship You for the sacrifices You made and Your blood you shed for me. And yes, I believe that the blood still heals and sets me free from my strong holds. I'm grateful my prayers are always heard by You. I forgive those that have hurt  and mistreated me. I pray for the healing of their broken pieces. In my forgiveness, I’m reminded of the endless mercy and grace You’ve given me everyday so I have every reason to forgive others. I believe every breakthrough will manifest at a divine appointed time with endless blessing and favor. You are my everything JESUS.

Scripture: Mark 11:24-25

For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will get it And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop leave it, let it go, in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.

Closing prayer:

Have a blessed Monday family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and He loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. He got your back, your side and front, if you stay connected. Remember today that you are forgiven. And whatever you do, surrender to the Lord and let Him work it out.
