What life serves…

WORDS OF WISDOM:

WHAT LIFE SERVES

Scripture:

Psalm 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

MORNING PRAYER:

LORD, Thank you for waking us up this Wednesday morning. What a blessing it is to see another day! Thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. I'm thankful I that I have a Father that has me covered. No matter what, we win with you. Thank you that you are able to bring hope and peace to our lives, even through the toughest of times, strengthening us for Your purpose. Thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you that you are always with us and will never leave us. Forgive us for when we don't thank you enough or trust you for who you are and what you can do. Fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day. We give you praise and thanks. For You alone are worthy. Father, thank you for your almighty power. Thank you that you go before us today. God, thank you for being a restorer. Thank you GOD for being our healer, our provider, our protector and our way maker. Remind us of your strength today. May we see glimpses of your glory and blessings along the way as we seek after You. Father, I ask that you bless those that are less fortunate than us. Heavenly Father, meet the needs of those that don’t have a place to lay their heads and for the homeless to obtain shelter. Father, I’m praying for those dealing with mental health and PTSD. Open doors, LORD, of deliverance and help. I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. I pray for those that are dealing with domestic violence, for them to get help to get out of a toxic and dangerous situations. I pray for those with any addictions to be set free from codependency or seeking for a temporary solution to self medicate. I pray for those fighting the war. For our soldiers and I pray for the Ukraine. I pray for those that are incarcerated and for peace in this nation and peace in the middle east. I pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. It's in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

Reflections:

Father, I thank you for serving me what I need for my soul and spirit. I am finally willing to acknowledge that it may be difficult to pick through my experiences to find the things that will nourish me. I realize that when you sit down at life's table, you don't know what the chef will serve you. Lord, It is quite possible that life will serve you filet mignon on a silver platter with all of the trimmings, or life may serve you a hearty chicken soup, with lots of veggies, in a china bowl. The china bowl might be chipped, and it could be sitting on a plate that does not match. Life could serve you burned roast chicken with half-raw potatoes on fine china that sits on an exquisite linen tablecloth. You might be served all fattening foods or low-fat treats. The point is, no matter what you are served in life, or how it is served to you, it is up to you to find the nourishment that you need. Your experiences in life are food for your soul that will strengthen you or make you malnutrition. The choices you have  make up the meat and potatoes of your character. Some experiences are quite tasty and good. Others could lead you to believe you are starving! If you insist you should have been served steak when you've been served chicken, you could miss the fact that it was served on fine china. Don't get caught up in what life has served you. There is a chef in the kitchen of your heart who knows exactly the kind of diet you need to grow strong and remain healthy. Make the right choices on your menu. Don't get stuck on how you were served. Ask the chef how to eat it, how to digest it, and how best to make use of what you were served. Don't try to figure out why you got what you got. The chef is GOD and what He serves us or allows to be served to us is for our spiritual growth. Be grateful that you got something. If you got it, you can use it, just ask the chef how. Until today, you may have been more concerned with why you have had certain experiences than you were with how they have nurtured and nourished you. Just know that it’s all for your growth. Just for today, remind yourself, "He has prepared the table before me. He must know what I need."

Today I am devoted to discovering the nourishment in all of my life's experiences!

Scripture:

Psalm 107:9

For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

Closing Prayer:

Have a blessed WEDNESDAY family, friends and loved ones. Know that JESUS saves and He loves you. When the world leaves you standing alone or turn their backs on you, JESUS is right there. He got your back, your side and front, if you stay connected. Remember today that it’s up to you to know how to digest your food for your nourishment.  Whatever you do, surrender it to the Lord and let Him work it out. Let it be what it is because we are covered in the blood. If you don’t know GOD, get to know Him. Try Him. He is the truth. Whatever the Lord tells you to do. just do it. All we have belong to GOD. Keep trusting GOD. Just Know this, GOD remains the same. Know that we can count on Him no matter what! It’s in JESUS name I pray, Amen.

JESUS is my Everything
