Never Stop Praying!

 WORDS OF WISDOM:

NEVER STOP PRAYING

MORNING PRAYER:

Morning prayer:

Father, I thank you on this WEDNESDAY MORNING for waking me up. I ask you  to give me understanding, direction, patience, clarity and wisdom. Help me to know the power that I have within me. Father prepare me for this week that you have set before me. Thank you for watching over me and for providing for me. I’m so grateful and thankful for everything you have done and everything that you will and continuously do in me and for my family, friends and love ones. LORD, as you bless me, I will be a blessing.

SCRIPTURE:

Mark 1:35, Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Father, I will never stop praying. I have really seen the importance and the power of prayer this year. It's been a trying year Father, but I made it. I realize that prayer is the power source and my time to have a conversation with you.  I can chop it up with you about any and everything. Just letting it all out knowing that with you, there’s no judgment, only true acceptance, unconditional love and forgiveness. I know the importance in prayer. It strengthens me and gives me a peace that passes all human understanding. I can’t function without it. I will pray in good times. I will pray in bad times. I will pray in hard times. I will not stop praying. I will pray on sunny days. I will pray on rainy days. I will pray on snowy days. I will pray on bad days. I will pray on good days. I will not stop praying. I will pray in my car. I will pray outside. I will pray in the gym. No matter where I am, I will pray or praise you. I’m in love with you JESUS and I can’t get enough of you. There is always something to pray about or to talk to you about. Whether I’m feeling confused or hurt or when I don’t have the words to say to someone that’s hurting or going through a tough time, I will pray. The power of prayer starts when I call on you and declare and decree in JESUS name it shall be. Prayer drawers me closer to you and releases your power within me. I’m so grateful I can come to you just as I am. Not with big words but just having a real talk with you. I can come to you just as I am and you are there to listen, ready to move on my behalf. Father use me to share the precious gift of prayer with someone.  Give me the opportunity to pray with someone today that they may experience the power within. Give me the opportunity to let someone experience everything that you have done for me through the power of surrendering and praying. I will never block you from moving in me, working through me or holding back what you have done for me in the power of prayer, what it does and the power of it. Prayer works better than anything. I will fight the battle to share and give prayer any time and anywhere. I won’t stop praying. And it’s in JESUS name I pray πŸ™πŸ½ Amen

SCRIPTURE:

Thessalonians 5:16-18 is the popular verse many Christians refer to when discussing how we can pray without ceasing. The Greek word ceasing in this verse literally means to pray uninterruptedly and incessantly.

GOOD MORNING FAMILY, FRIENDS AND LOVE ONES. HAVE A BLESSED DAY. REMEMBER DONT STOP PRAYING πŸ™πŸ½

WORDS OF WISDOM

RESTORED

SCRIPTURE:

Joel 2:25 — (NLT)

The Lord says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, The stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts.

It was I who sent this great destroying army against you.

Morning prayer:

Father, I thank you on this Tuesday Morning. For waking me up. I come asking you to continue to give me guidance, understanding, direction, patience and clarity. Help me this day to rest in you; to refuel and recharge so that I can prepare for the week that you have set before me. Thank you for watching over me and for providing for me through the week. I’m so grateful and thankful for everything you have done and everything that you will and continuously do in me, for my family, friends and love ones. Father, I ask that you bless those that are less fortunate. Meet the needs of those that don’t have a place to lay their heads and for the homeless to obtain shelter. Father, especially now, its getting cold in some states and cities. I pray for shelter for them because it’s below freezing in some places. I pray for those that don’t have health insurance to take care of health situations they have. I pray for protection and for a advocate for those in domestic violence situation or dealing with a mental health issue. I pray for those that don’t have the means to take care of their families. I pray open doors of employment and financial opportunities. I’m praying that you send resources and financial blessings.  I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. I pray for those that are incarcerated and those that are in foreign countries. I pray for those in the countries that don’t even have clean water to drink, don't have food nor don't have shoes to put on. I pray for those that are going through all types of abuse and harassment due to terrorism. I pray for the nation and the peace of Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. I pray for the President and Government that they make rules and decisions that will help this nation and the people that need it. I pray for the mental health and for deliverance from all addictions. I pray for those that lost love ones. Father, please guide us on the right path with clear direction. I’m so grateful for your grace, mercy and your unconditional love. I love you Father.

Reflection:

Father thank you for your promise that you will restore everything that the enemy has taken from me. Thank you for restoring my joy, peace, health, finances and relationships that where broken. I know that you said in your word that you will give me everything back if I just cast the care on you LORD. I thank you that I’m restored in my mind and in my heart. Restored means to return to a previous state of being. Psalm 51:12 says "Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit." Although we may stray from steadfast faith and obedience, GOD is still faithful and he will be there with open arms ready to restore you back to him. If there is something that you need restored, turn to GOD. Ask him to restore you back to him and he will restore to you all that was lost and taken. Heavenly Father, we ask you to restore back what was lost. As we look closely at what the Bible says about restoration, let’s open our hearts to receive this promise on a deeper level than ever before. My prayer is that as we study Scripture, we will see God restore what’s been lost in our own hearts, lives, and families. Help us this time to guard all we have and to be a good steward over all you have entrusted to us. Thank you LORD for this season of restoration and that we can walk  in the power within to recover all. I declare and decree that all is restored and recovered and its in JESUS name I pray πŸ™πŸ½ Amen πŸ™πŸ½

SCRIPTURE:

1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Good morning family, friends and love ones. Have a blessed day. GOD is restoring all.

Father, I thank you for showing me the power I have within me. I will not let the storms that come put me in fear or doubt. I know now that my destiny is within me, and I deal with the trials and tests I face and how I believe, how I think and what I say out my month. I know I have the power within me to do all things with you by my side. The power of your word is at work within me. I have experienced your faithfulness and your amazing mercy and grace. I have seen you work some things out in my life and have seen things happen that are unexplainable that you have done for me. I know that you are powerful. Thank you for reassuring me that your power is always near and that you wrap your loving arms around me in every season in my life. I will never be abandoned as long as I’m connected to you and stay in your  presence. GOD, I know that your word says that you are the Great I AM. You are all powerful and all authority belongs to you. You are our Creator. You are our sustainer.  You are our provider.  You are our keeper. You are our way maker. You are our power source. SCRIPTURE:

Proverbs 4:23-27

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Reflection:

Father this morning I ask that your help us to guard our hearts and my minds from wrong thoughts, negativity and toxic people. Help us to be very aware of what we engage in, even when watching TV. Help us be aware of what we listen to and what we allow our eyes to look at.  Not guarding our gateways affects our spirit and our soul. Let me stay guarded at all times so we won’t be distracted or get off course. We will stay guarded when life seems to take us on a roller coaster ride. We will stay guarded when the storms come. We will stay guarded when we feel like just calling it quits. We will stay guarded and grounded. Help us to know the tricks of the enemy and how he tries to desensitize us and gets us to fall victim to his schemes. Help us to see the danger in the things that we do that opens us up to wrong things and choices. GOD, please protect us from making wrong decisions and wrong choices that will eventually caused great pain or regret.  Why is the thought life so important?  Because we need to protect our minds. It’s another way of saying, “Just load up on The Word GOD and Get the word of GOD into your heart."  I will hide the word in my heart that I might not sin against you, GOD, by living according to your word. I will seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. The Bible tell us "above all else, guard your heart; for out of it are the issues of life.” Because the thought life controls the rest of your life. If you tell me what you think, I’ll tell you who you are and the life you live. What you think is what you are. The thought life controls you. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).  Your thoughts—positive, negative, good, or bad—control your attitudes. Your attitudes are the sum total of your thoughts. Your attitudes lead to your actions.  Your thoughts control your actions. Before you can do a thing you have to think it. Your thoughts lead to attitudes; attitudes lead to actions; actions lead to those achievements. It all begins with the thought life. Your achievements will be the sum total of your thoughts. We must be on guard. Be careful what comes into your mind. You have to think pure thoughts. Now, a text without a context is a pretext, so context is important.   When GOD is in our heart, then we will think right, live right, do right. When GOD is absent, we think wrong, do wrong, live wrong. When GOD gets ready to change someone, how does He do it? By changing how they think. GOD changes the thought process. Help us LORD to stay on point and guard our hearts and minds.

We have to protect what we come in contact with and who we allow in our space that my infect us with wrong thoughts or actions or deeds. Let me tell you something wonderful. God made you where you can’t think two things at one time. So how do you keep from thinking what’s wrong? Just think what’s right. And if you’re thinking what’s right, you cannot be thinking what’s wrong. It’s another way of saying, “Just load up on My Word. Get My Word into your heart.” Father GOD, I thank you for making me aware of what I needed to do to guard my Heart and staying on guard. And its in JESUS name I pray πŸ™πŸ½ Amen!

Unforgiveness

WORDS OF WISDOM:

UNFORGIVENESS

Morning prayer:

Father, I thank you on this Saturday Morning, for waking me up. I come asking you to continue to give me guidance, understanding, direction, patience, understanding and clarity. Help me this day to understand and to walk in forgiveness, not unforgiveness. Thank you for watching over me and for providing for me all through the week. I’m so grateful and thankful for everything you have done and everything that you will continuously do in me and for my family, friends and love ones. Father, I  ask that you bless those that are less fortunate. Heavenly Father, meet the needs of those that don’t have a place to lay their heads and for the homeless to obtain shelter. Father, especially now, its getting cold in some states and cities. I prayer for shelter for them because it’s below freezing in some places. I pray for those that don’t have health insurance to take care of health situations they have. I pray for protection and for an advocate for those in domestic violence situations or dealing with mental health issues. I pray for those that don’t have the means to take care of their families. I pray open doors of employment and financial opportunities. I’m praying that you send resources and financial blessings.  I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. I pray for those that are incarcerated and those that are in foreign countries and in the countries that don’t even have clean water to drink and don't have food nor shoes to put on. Father, please guide us on the right path with clear directions. I’m so grateful for your grace, mercy and your unconditional love. I love you Father.

SCRIPTURE:

Mark 11:25, NIV: "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

Father, I enter into your gates with thanksgiving and into in your courts with praise. I pray for myself and others and I ask you to forgive us for all my sins of iniquities, trespasses and transgressions. I pray for forgiveness of sins of omission and commission, unknown sins well as hidden sins. Especially any sins of unforgiveness we have in my lives of doubt, distrust, deception, division, envy, fear, idolatry, jealousy, lying, pride, presumption, hate, hardness of heart, rebellion, provoking, slander, taking offense. I pray for forgiveness for not abiding in you, JESUS, and not letting your word abide in us at all times and staying in strife, bitterness and anger. For having other gods before you, making false gods or buying images and bowing down or serving images.  For taking the LORD's name in vain and for not observing and keeping holy the Sabbath day.  For not honoring our fathers and mothers and for committing sins that are against your commandments. For letting unforgiveness make us act out and not love our neighbors and our family members by helping those that fall short of the grace and mercy that you have given unto us freely. Help us to forgive and let go of any unforgiveness that we may know.

Unforgiveness is a sin that causes bitterness in our life. The Bible warns us about bitterness: “it tells us to Look carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by this many become defiled." Help to walk in love and not be just a hearer of the word but a doer .The first prayer blocker is unforgiveness. When you harbor resentment, offense, bitterness or anger toward another person it blocks your prayers. Another prayer blocker is unconfessed sin. Asking God to move on your behalf when you knowingly continue in sin leads to your prayers going unanswered. Father God, we don’t want any unanswered prayers so we pray today GOD that everyone that reads this will release any unforgiveness. We ask for forgiveness for being unforgiving and acting out of the flesh. Help us to forgive those who did spitefully use us and prosecutor us and have spoken against us. LORD, help us all to walk in love and forgive each other as your word requires us to do. Its in JESUS name, the mighty GOD  that I prayπŸ™πŸ½Amen

Forgiving

WORDS OF WISDOM:

FORGIVING

Matthew 6:12

And forgive us our debts,  as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Father, I thank you on this Friday morning for waking me up this morning. I come asking you to continue to give me guidance, understanding, direction, patience and clarity. I thank you for watching over me and for providing for me all through the week. I pray for shelter for them because it’s below freezing in some places. I pray for those that don’t have health insurance to take care of health situations they have. I pray for those that don’t have the means to take care of their families. I’m praying that you send resources and financial blessings.  I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. I pray for those that are incarcerated and those that are in foreign countries and in the countries that don’t even have clean water to drink and no food.

Father I need help to walk in forgiveness. I’m dealing with a betrayal and a spirit of discord. I know this is not from you because you’re not the author of confusion but right now this person is operating in those spirits and so I find it hard to forgive. I know that I should surrender my will over to you to forgive and cast it on to you. I will walk in forgiveness even when I have been the victim of abuse. Whether is was verbally, mentally or physically I know that your word tells us to forgive, walk in love and let it go. The battle is not ours, but yours. LORD, sometimes it’s hard to walk in forgiveness or even to let it go and forget about it and put it in your hands. I’m striving to do that because I know that  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me so I can't allow unforgiveness to be my blessing blocker. I know I can't allow it to cause me to grow a spirit of bitterness that potentially or eventually will cause me to be sick and worried and stressed out about  a situation with someone else that has offended me or wronged me and they moved on with no problem with their life. Some of you all can relate to this. Whether it’s a simple spat with your spouse or long-held resentment toward a family member or friend or an unresolved conflict with some one. Unforgiveness can go deeper than you may realize it. It may be affecting your physical health. The good news: Studies have found that the act of forgiveness can reap huge rewards for your health, lowering the risk of heart attack; improving cholesterol levels and sleep; and reducing pain, blood pressure, and levels of anxiety, depression and stress. And research points to an increase in the forgiveness-health connection as you age.

Forgiveness is critical. To gain a better understanding of why, I think it’s important to remind ourselves what the Bible has to say about forgiveness: We’ve all had situations like this. We’ve hurt someone, or someone has hurt us. It’s impossible to have a relationship between two sinners and forgiveness not be a constant need. Sometimes we are the ones needing forgiveness and sometimes we are the ones needing to forgive what ever it is. We have to ask GOD for help and to walk in forgiveness. It doesn’t mean, nor am I saying to tolerate bad behavior, but you can forgive and move on making peace with the situation and allow GOD to do the rest. Father, I need to understand that forgiveness doesn't dependent on my feelings, but my will to be determined to forgive. Help me in this area to completely walk in forgiveness. It seem so hard for someone to take accountability and responsibility for their action but I have learned to not let others conduct or behavior affect how I react to the situation. I must forgive, let my words be few and experience the blessings that the gift of freedom and forgiveness brings. I have experienced how cold this world can be but I also have experienced the love of GOD in my heart and your faithfulness and forgiveness. I love you Lord . And it’s JESUS name I pray πŸ™πŸ½ Amen πŸ™πŸ½

Mark 11:25

25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

Have blessed day and safe weekend. Remember to walk in forgiveness.

I pray for the mental health and for deliverance from all addictions. Father, please guide us on the right path with clear direction. I’m so grateful for your grace, mercy and your unconditional love. I love you Father.

Father GOD, I trust in you and your word. I know that the word is true. I know that you are real. No matter what the situation or circumstances are at times, sometimes it seem like your far away or my prayers are not being heard. But know you will come through and show up and show out as you always do. I’m so thankful for all you have and will do. I know your word tells us that the hands of man will fail us ever time, but I know I can depend on you. I know there’s nothing too hard for my GOD. I know you will do it even when I don’t see how or know how. I know you hold the key to every door set before me! I realize that there are some things that I need to readjust in my life and to get more focused on so that I make the right decisions and do what is right in your eyes. Fill my mind with GOD- given thoughts so I will be in your perfect will for my life. I know you will DO IT . I’m reminded of how you turned water into wine, how you opened the Red Sea and how you fed the 5000 with 2 fish and 5 Loaves of bread. Then I say to my self WON'T GOD DO IT . If you did it before, you can and will DO IT again. Father, align my actions with your will for my life. Your plans are the only plans that matter from this point forward! Today, I thank you for never giving up on me when I made the wrong turn or stepped out of your will. You always are there to lead me back in the right direction and on the right path. I know you will DO  IT. Things I can’t change or fix or handle, I now now that I have to let it go and let GOD. I have to ask, seek, and knock. I have to change the things I can change and I can’t quit. I have to walk in love and I have to know the season you have me in. I have to know that you will comfort me in the mist of it all because you GOT THIS and you will DO IT!  I stand in expectation waiting on you to show up in ways that I can’t even explain. I know you want the best for me. Even when I feel unworthy of you love, you pour it out on me and love on me anyway. I know I don’t have to do anything special to receive your love. It's there all the time. At times I don’t feel deserving, but I still feel your love and presence in my life and see how you can always work things out for my good. You open so many doors but you also close some doors too  and I accept the ones you close because I know that all things are working together for my good. A delay doesn't mean a denial. It means you got this.  I know you know what’s best for me. You know the doors I need to walk through and the doors that I need to leave closed by turning around and going the other way. You are Amazing GOD! I’m  grateful for all you have shown me and taught me through your word and giving me unconditional love. You love me no matter what. My prayer today is that I stay connected to you always. No matter the circumstance, I will trust the process. I don't want to ever give up, quit seeking, believing and trusting in you and the promises you have told me you have for me. You are my everything; my peace, my joy, my strength, my healer , my provider, my protector , the lover of my soul and my keeper. MY EVERYTHING! Everything I need is in you and in your hands.  I thank you for the wisdom to know and understand and receive this. It’s in JESUS Name I pray πŸ™πŸ½ Amen

Don't Quit!!

 Don’t quit!

Matthew 24:13 ESV
But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

James 1:12 ESV
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Father, I thank you on this Tuesday morning, for waking me up this morning. I come asking you to continue to give me guidance and understanding as we thank you for watching over us and for providing for us all through the week and hoildays. I’m so grateful and thankful for everything you have done and everything that you will and continuously do in me and my family, friends and love ones. Father, I  ask that you bless those that are less fortunate. Heavenly Father, meet the needs of those that don’t have a place to lay their heads and for the homeless to obtain shelter. Father, especially now, its getting cold in some states and cities. I prayer for shelter for them because it’s below freezing. Father, please guide us on the right path with clear direction. I’m so grateful for your grace, mercy and your unconditional love. I love you Father.πŸ™πŸ½

Father this morning I’m pressing on. I will not “quit”. Sometimes life can hit you hard and you just feel like throwing in the towel. But I will not quit. No matter how hard it gets , I will not quit. Sometimes my body says to give up,  but my spirit says don’t quit.  The temptation to quit can invade every area of life. We may struggle to persevere in prayer for our family members who don’t serve GOD, struggle to constantly have a prayer and daily devotional and spiritual connection with you father. We work for years in a job or position to only be faced with disappointment, lay offs, being fired or having to go out of business. Some of us fight for years in ministry only to see declining interest in the gospel. Pastors are walking away from the faith and dealing  with depression at an alarming rate. High profile people are committing suicide. Domestic violence is increasing. We work to keep family relationships together but feel like we’re in a losing battle; we give our hearts to someone or let our guards down to open a space for love ❤️ only to experience betrayal and hurt or to get hurt once again. Some of us face recurring illness and feel confuse, frustrated or even anxious about it to overtake us. We have a concerned about our finances or what our financial future will be. Living in the uncertainty can leave you where you feel in fear of that  part of our lives have triggered the desire to quit, but rest assured, God knew we would need encouragement to persevere and keep walking in faith and never quit… no matter what,  It”s not a option.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for Your mercy and forgiveness. Forgive me for those times when I feel like giving up. or quitting. Your Word tells me I should “press on toward the goal to win the prize” for which You called me. But sometimes I get discouraged when I don’t feel like I’m making a difference. I know discouragement is not from You. Every good and perfect gift comes from you and that includes the ability to persevere and to endure hardship no matter what. Lord, it seems like I’ve been praying for a long time without an answer. I know your time is not like man’s time. Sometimes I wonder whether or not You hear my prayers. Doubt and frustration make me want to quit when I don’t see a breakthrough in my situation, but You offer hope.  Your always on time and a delay don’t mean being denied. As I draw closer to You, You, in turn, draw close to me. Thank you for this promise and your unfailing love ❤️
Your Word says You “reward those who earnestly seek You.” Because of this, I know You are with me, giving me the strength and determination I need to keep moving forward. Help me remember this truth from Scripture when my thoughts take a negative turn. I may not see the fruit of my prayers right now, but You are working it all out even when I don’t see it. And thank you for your love and peace in my life and to know that quitting is never a option and it’s in JESUS name I pray Amen πŸ™πŸ½

1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Good morning family, friends and love ones.  Have a blessed day and remember to never quit .

Let It Go!

Let it go:

Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen

Father, I thank you on this MONDAY MORNING, for waking me up this morning. I come asking you to Continue to give me guidance understanding as we thank you for watching over us and for providing for us all through the week. I pray for the mental health and for deliverance from all addictions. Father, please guide us on the right path with clear direction. I’m so grateful for your grace, mercy and your unconditional love. I love you Father.

Father, this morning I come letting it all go, putting it at your feet . Today Lord I feel tired. LORD there seems to be too many things on my to do list and too few hours in a day to do or accomplish them all. Sometimes this gives me a feel or sense of feeling anxiousness. I know I have to let it go and I give it all to you. Father you said in your word to cast our cares upon you. So today, God, I’m asking you to give me the wisdom to know when I’m holding onto things that don’t serve purpose in my life, or trying to fix things and save people, which is your JOB to do. Give the me knowledge to know when to let go and cast the care on you or handle. I give it to you father. I'm just going to let it go.  I know what a blessing it is to have work to do and have a job so I’m not going to complain about the work or tasks that are before me. Just acknowledging that sometimes we can take on so much with work, family, daily agendas, assignments and just feeling all over the place and being pulled this way and that way. Sometimes we need to sit back and give it to you and ask you to refill us with a fresh anointing and a fresh refilling of your power and your strength as we try to live a purposeful life. Thank you for tasks large and small. They give me meaning in my day to help others and also to complete my assignments and my daily agendas that you have given me to do. May we always do each one of our assignments as you have given us the ability to do and as if we were doing it only for Lord. I know your word also says whatever we do, do it with all our heart. I might  sometime get tired but I have to remember that I’m doing this for the Lord and I am one of your vessels that you use. So I have to do it with all my heart and Strength. Help me Lord to not feel overwhelmed when I can’t get everything done that I need to get done but help me better prioritize my life and put things in order so that I won’t feel out of place or off balanced. I sometimes find myself getting or starting to feel overwhelmed when things don’t go according to my plan but thank you for reminding me, also, to know that everything is not going to go the way that I want it to go but it goes according to the purpose and a plan that you have for my life. I thank you for the peace in the mist of a storm. Increase my faith in knowing and being assured that you know all things and that all things work together for the good of those that love you and those that are called according to your purpose. Father, I know that I am blessed to have mentors and role models as friends and people that you have placed in my life to hold me up to encourage me to move forward. I thank you that I have you and them to cheer me on towards you my goals, urging me towards my purpose and setting them to applaud for me as I reach them and encouraging me to try again when I don’t. Father remind me to be a cheerleader for those that need cheering as well and to up lift and encourage those that need it as well. Help us GOD to let go of things, people and situations that are not in your will for our lives and to keep pressing towards the mark of the high calling in Christ JESUS. LORD I making a decision to let it go. That means any thing that’s not of you I’m letting go and letting GOD. Father, we thank you πŸ™πŸ½ for always being there even in the hard and difficult times. Thank you for never leaving us alone and it in JESUS name we pray πŸ™πŸ½ Amen πŸ™πŸ½

Purpose for Fasting

According to the Bible, there are three duties of every Christian: give, pray and fast.

Simply stated, biblical fasting is refraining from food for a spiritual purpose.

Biblical fasting takes a lot of discipline and strength—strength which you can only receive from God. Your private discipline will bring you rewards in Heaven,
says
Matthew 6.

When you give God your first through fasting, prayer and giving at the beginning of the year, you set the course for the entire year.

Why should I fast?

·       Are you in need of healing or a miracle?

·       Do you need the tender touch of God in your life?

·       Is there a dream inside you that only He can make possible?

·       Are you in need of a fresh encounter?

·       Do you desire a deeper, more intimate and powerful relationship with the Lord?

·       Are you ready to have heightened sensitivity to the desires of God?

·       Do you need to break away from bondages that have been holding you hostage?

·       Is there a friend or loved one that needs Salvation?

·       Do you desire to know God’s will for your life?

BIBLICAL FASTING FOCUS

    1 TIMOTHY 2:1-2

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

    ROMANS 12:1

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.”

    MATTHEW 6:33

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

    ISAIAH 58:6

“[Is] not this the fast that I have chosen to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”

We want to encourage you to target your prayers during the fast. Two specific areas we will be focusing on together are leadership and finances. The Bible instructs us to continually pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-2). When we lift up our leaders, here in the United States and around the world, we can expect God’s peace in our lives and in our nation.

Another great promise, from the book of Isaiah, proclaims that the chosen fast will “undo the heavy burdens and let the oppressed go free.” We are living in tough economic times and we know that so many people are under a financial burden. As we come together to fast and pray, we believe that your burdens will be lifted and that financial blessings will be released into your life!

We encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and let your decisions about your biblical fasting come from Him. Ask the Lord to show you areas to target during your time of fasting and prayer. We believe that, as we pray and seek God and give Him our best at the first of the year, He will bless our ENTIRE year (Matthew 6:33)!

There are several types of fasting. The one you choose is between you and God. He will honor your best sacrifice.

Full Fast
Drink only liquids (you establish the number of days).

The Daniel Fast
Eat no meat, no sweets and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.

3-Day Fast
This fast can be a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

Partial Fast
A partial fast is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or from sun up to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting —a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

Scripture References for Fasting:
Matthew 6:16-18Matthew 9:14-15Luke 18:9-14

Relation to Prayer and Reading of the Word:
1 Samuel 1:6-817-18Nehemiah 1:4Daniel 9:3, 20Joel 2:12Luke 2:37Acts 10:30,Acts 13:2

Corporate Fasting:
1 Samuel 7:5-6Ezra 8:21-23Nehemiah 9:1-3Joel 2:15-16Jonah 3:5-10Acts 27:33-37

Remember that it is the attitude of a heart sincerely seeking Him to which God responds with a blessing (Isaiah 58Jeremiah 14:121 Corinthians 8:8). May God greatly bless you as you fast!
