GOD Has Not Given Us the Spirit of Fear 

2Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 

Father, thank you this morning for giving us a mind to allow you to help us not to fear. Thank you for helping us to know you got us. 

God has told us over 100 times in His Word not to be afraid. He tells us not to fear because He is in control. He is our refuge and strength.

“Worry is characteristic of the heathen, not the Christian” Perfect Trust. 

Christians are commanded in Scripture not to fear because we have God! Fear is often not even based on truth. It’s based on false expectations, assumptions that will likely not even occur. Like the below acrostic cleverly points out. This is what fear spells out:

Expectations

Appearing

Real

More importantly, fear forgets that God is God. He is still in control!

Fear of Disease or Global Pandemic

This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people: “Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread” (Isaiah 8:11-13). 

Fear of Cancer

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). 

Fear of Life Circumstances

But now, this is what the Lord says . . . “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior” (Isaiah 43:1-3). 

Fear of Religious Persecution

“Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults” (Isaiah 51:7). 

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened (1 Peter 3:14).

Fear of Loneliness

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). 

Fear of Bad News 

Surely the righteous will never be shaken . . . They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes” (Psalm 112:6-8). 

Fear of Sudden Disaster

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared (Proverbs 3:25-26).

Fear of Anxiety

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). 

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). 

Fear of Being Confused and Overwhelmed

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6)

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” Another translation reads, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (NKJV). There are many things in this life that will tempt us to fear. Our world is facing one right now as the coronavirus is fast becoming a global pandemic. God, however, has told us over 100 times in His Word not to be afraid. He tells us not to fear because He is in control. He is our refuge and strength. He is our help in times of trouble. If you have ever flown on an airplane and experienced turbulence, the pilot and/or flight attendants have undoubtedly reminded you to 1) Take your seat, and 2) Fasten your seatbelt. God’s Word tells us to do, metaphorically, the very same thing in times of fear and “turbulence.”

Psalm 46:1-3,10 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling…. Be still, and know that I am God…”

God Has Not Given Us the Spirit of Fear

In times of trouble, God says, “Be still (take your seat), and know that I am God (fasten your seatbelt).” To paraphrase, Psalm 46:10 is saying, “Take time to be quiet and remember who I am.” To remind yourself that the character and attributes of God are similar to fastening your seatbelt, spiritually speaking. The turbulence may continue, but you are still and secure. It is only through Scripture, applied to our hearts by the Holy Spirit, that we receive the grace to trust God in everything…. I want you to find rest from the weariness of worry and the plagues of doubt and fear. I want us to be a distinctive people — people who step out in faith even when the future is fuzzy, people whose lives reflect a quiet peace and calm assurance because we have cultivated perfect trust in God” no fear , no fear in Christ JESUS. 

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, Thank you for waking us up this morning. Thank you for your amazing power that work in our lives. Thank you for giving us a spirit that doesn’t have to fear. Thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you that you are able to bring hope and peace in our lives even through the toughest of times, strengthening us for your purpose. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you that you are always with us and will never leave us. Thank you for your incredible sacrifice so that we might have freedom in this life. Forgive us for when we don't thank you enough or trust you for who you are, what you can do, for all that you do and for all that you've given us. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you this day and every day. We give you praise and thank, For You alone are worthy Father. Thank you for your presence with us. Thank you for your Almighty Power. Thank you that you go before us and cover us from ever side.  Thank you that you are in our midst and that our future is secure in the place you're preparing for us. Your words bring such hope and comfort. Remind us of your strength today. May we see glimpses of your glory and blessings along the way as we seek after you. For victory and salvation are found in you alone. Father I pray for your spirit to be with us and let us experience you like never before. Father I ask that you bless those that are less fortunate than us . Heavenly Father, meet the needs of those that don’t have a place to lay their heads and for the homeless to obtain shelter. Father, I’m praying for those dealing with mental health and PTSD. Open doors LORD of deliverance and help. I pray that you touch those that are sick in hospitals and nursing homes. Praying for those fighting the war, our soldiers and I pray for the Ukraine. I pray for those that are incarcerated and for peace in this nation and peace in the middle east. We pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem. It’s In the Mighty Name of JESUS name I pray,🙏🏽 Amen.

Prayer: 

Good morning family, friends and love ones. Have a blessed Thursday. Let's call on the Holy Sprit today and welcome Him in all we do. Let’s take time to thank GOD for waking us up this morning. Father, we thank you for taking us to the next level in our walk, talk and thinking. We thank you for the talents that you have blessed us with. For the gift of life, friendship and family. For providing for us by making away out of no way for us. For strength and health. For everything that we have that we take for granted every day. Today, let’s be thankful. For this is the day the Lord has made. Let’s use this day to thank the LORD for all He has done. Also use wisdom and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.  Let’s take time this morning to thank GOD for another day. Another day means another chance to get it right with the Father. Let’s be grateful and thankful for all things, especially for our family and love ones. We are asking you, GOD, to cover our family, friends and love ones. We pray 🙏🏽 for all that are sick, the homeless, the incarcerated, the ones that are in nursing homes, the ones that are going through addictions and substance-abuse, those that are dealing with mental health and PTSD and those who are in abusive relationships. We pray for our soldiers that are been deployed and we pray for peace in the Middle East. We pray for the United States. We pray for the President to obtain wisdom and use knowledge and have a heart of compassion for the people and the rules that are made that governors the land. We thank you Lord for all you have done and going to do for us and our family.  God is amazing! His mercies are new every morning. Pray for someone today and show favor to someone.  Be a blessing.  Share the blessings that GOD has blessed you with. Trust Him no matter what. Give and it shall be given back to you. Know that in GOD'S plan and His timing that all things work together for the good that love GOD. For GOD tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "That I know the plans I have for you". Walk in your purpose and see ever opportunity as a way in which to give God the glory through your story or your testimony. Trust the process and do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do. Resist the devil in all things and trust GOD no matter what. Choose wisely and trust GOD'S timing. Wait on him and trust the process. Let the Holy Spirit control you and your mind, no matter what. God, I know I haven't given You the time and attention You desire. I’m learning to walk in wisdom and taking time to be lead by the Spirit and not my own feelings and emotions. I will not allow my thoughts and my actions to dictate how I move on a day to day bases or react or respond to situation. I pray You forgive me for all the times I turned my back on You and allowed the world to dictate my decisions and my actions. I don't like the way I allow things and people to affect my mood or my walk . I want to have the wisdom to listen more and be disciplined and obedient to walk it like I talk it. For You said in Your word that faith with out works is dead. Father, I don't want to be walking around dead in spirit and faking it. So I ask for wisdom to hear and do according to the word and the discipline to obey You when I’m convicted. Father, please grant me Godly insight to recognize a building block versus a road block. Whether it’s a person, opportunity or situation. I need to see You in it. Teach me how to wholeheartedly wait on Your command as You reveal signs along my walk and my day to day assignment. My desire is to please You above my own desires. I know I’ve been given this life to give it back to You!  And it’s In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Father I know that Victory is Mine!

What I’m going through is preparing me for the next level of victory because I know that victory is mine! I need You to modify my outlook and remind me that trials are meant to make me stronger, to strengthen me, push me out of my comfort zone and to develop my faith instead of running from the challenges, obstacles and tests. I thank you for humbling me to acknowledge that I need You to overcome every obstacle. 

It's with every victory and lesson that I learn You more and more. It increases my faith and makes me strong in my walk with you. You are making me better by revealing my weaknesses and giving me opportunities to grow. 

I ask You to change me every day. I see new ways to grow and to push past the cares of this world. To push in my praise and worship to see a move of You. You always make a way for it to happen and you show up and make a way when I can't see away. I won’t run when it seems unbearable because You won’t put more on me than I can bear! Plus, I know with out a question, I’m coming out of what ever the situation or test is with a praise. 

I have never worked this hard to stay the same. I will complete any assignment sent by You. With everything I have within me, I won’t turn back and I will never quit. That’s not a option. I will push through my discomfort and pain that I may feel at time and I will praise You, Lord! No matter what. Thank You for answering my prayers and changing me to trust you, the process and to endure hardship with a praise. It’s in Jesus name I pray, Amen. 🙏🏽

ITS ALL FOR MY GOOD 

Father, thank you that I know that all things are working for my good. My circumstances are not happening to me to hurt me or to harm me, but everything that is happening for my good in order to teach me, strengthen me or prepare me for the next level. I’m realizing my circumstances are training me to operate in a place of gratitude, peace and also power of GOD. To show me how great He is and how He can turn the situation around for me to work for my good. No matter what I endure or happens, I know and I’m fully confident that God got me covered. I know that I’m being equipped to be stronger and more powerful to grow in the power of the Lord and walk in my calling and the knowledge of the spirit. Lord, teach me the simple things I can do to be at peace, whether I am in the valley or on the mountaintop, to keep trusting the process and not be moved by the things that are happening around me. I am no longer allowing temporary circumstances or situations steal my joy or peace because I know all power lies in the hands of You, my Heavenly Father. You told us that tomorrow isn't promised so I'm going to cherish each day and live life to the fullest. I'm going to love the ones you have gifted me to share my life with and to spend time with them and not take time and things for granted. Today I declare the chains are broken. I’m free to live what I believe and live in the fullness of GOD'S love and joy. I believe in You JESUS and in a life of abundance in your grace and mercy, Amen.

Do not boast about tomorrow. For you don not know what a day may bring forth. 

Remember today family to walk in love and to tell someone that you love them. Enjoy your family, your friends and your love ones while they’re here because tomorrow is not promised but remember that all things work together for our good so enjoy life.

Father I realized every day is a new day and things change all the time. There are levels in this life and every day we’re going to have new levels of testing and things to face and obstacles to overcome. But that's not the only thing that’s new! I’m new too. I have a new perspective, new attitude, new vision, new purpose, new determination, new grace and new mercy. Thank you for the next level in my walk with you. I thank you that I am learning how to trust you. When I don’t know how bills will get paid, I’m asking for a new level of faith. When I don’t know the next step in my journey, I’m activating a new measure of patience. When I don’t understand the people around me, I’m putting out a new level of love! I'll walk in love and not allow another person incapability to give love or to know even how to receive love make me stop loving. I’m so grateful that it’s not in my own power that these things are activated, but it’s all because You and the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in me. So, I’m praising before You in advance for showing up and showing out! You never seem to amaze me. You just keep blessing me over and over again. For me to have an experience with you, it’s just like no other. So today GOD, I welcome the presence of your Holy Spirit and accept new levels that I have to face knowing that I win with you always. I know that all things work for my good and what I plant will surely flourish in its due season. I'll keep sowing seeds that reaps a harvest of all that is good and useful so what I believe will be taken care of by You. Not only will these fruitful traits bless me from the inside out, they will also overflow into everyone’s life that’s connected to me! I’m hype about living what I read in Your Word! A life of abundant signs and wonders. To see them come to pass, my job is to walk in faith and for me to live, believe and know I receive. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

We pray for the United States.  We pray for the President to get wisdom and use knowledge and have a heart of compassion for the people and the rules that they make that governors the land. We thank you Lord for all you have done and going to do for us and our family.  God is amazing. His mercies are new every morning. Pray for someone today and show favor to someone.  Be a blessing.  Share the blessings that GOD has blessed you with. Trust him no matter what. Give and it shall be given back to you.  Remember today to do something to bless someone.  Share the blessings or repair a broken situation if it’s in your power to do so and walk in forgiveness and love ❤️ and watch GOD move in His timing and be thankful and grateful. Let GOD fight the battle and trust and know that GOD is with you in all you do. Everywhere you go, Seek GOD first and everything else will fall into place.  Allow GOD to direct you and what ever He tells you to do, do it with no fear and trust him with all you have in you with your whole heart ❤️ and Know that it’s GOD plan and His timing. All things work together for the good that love GOD.  For GOD tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "That I know the plans I have for you" and walk in your purpose and see every opportunity as a way in which to give God the glory through your story or your testimony. Trust the process and do what the Holy Spirit tells you to do. Resist the devil in all things and trust GOD no matter what. Choose wisely and trust GOD’S timing and wait on Him and trust the process. GOD is In it With Me

Father, thank You for being in it with me!  No matter what this world will try to throw my way, you will always be there with me and fighting with me and I thank you. Because of you, God, I’m truly confident of this: that you will never leave me nor for sake me and that you got me no matter what. When I'm hurt, You hurt. When I get tired You give me strength, when I praise, You praise! When I move, You move! It brings me so much peace to know I’m not in it alone no matter what I may see with my natural sight. The difference between being in it with You versus being in it with anybody else is the power You have to change the circumstances. All You have to do is speak a word & mountains will move, winds will stop & haters will tremble! Talk about power! Right now, I declare life over my thoughts and actions so my life fulfills Your will. I trust Your plans over my own and I surrender everything to You. I want to witness a whole new level of Your power at work in my life. I pray You guide me through the storms and through the breakthroughs. I realize that the difference between being in a storm or a season of testing with men or with GOD is that the power of God has to change the situation and circumstances that we win in the end. So keep trust and believing, GOD got us! I love You Jesus!

Good morning and happy Sabbath to my family, friends, and love ones.  Have a blessed Saturday. Lets call on the Holy Sprit today and welcome Him in all we do. Let’s take time to thank GOD for waking us up this morning, for the talents that He has blessed us with, for the gift of life, friendship and family. Thanking Him for love and for providing for us by making away out of no way. Thanking Him for our strength, our health and for everything that we have that we take for granted every day. Today, let’s be thankful. For this is the day the Lord has made, let’s use this day to thank the LORD for all he has done! Also use Wisdom and allow the Holy Spirit to guild you. Let’s take time this morning to thank GOD for another day. Another day means another chance to get it right with the Father. Let’s be grateful and thankful for all things. We are asking you, GOD, to cover our family, friends and love ones. We pray 🙏🏽 for all that are sick, the homeless, the incarcerated, the ones that are in nursing homes, the ones that are going through addictions and substance-abuse, those that are dealing with mental health and PTSD, and those that are in abusive relationships. We pray for  our soldiers that are being deployed and we pray for  peace in the Middle East.
